How to collect feedback from App Store users

TestFlight only covers beta testers. How to let App Store users report problems from inside your app, and reply to them.

Short answer: add an in-app feedback tool and a “Send feedback” button in Settings. App Store reviews can’t be answered with questions, but in-app feedback can.

Why App Store reviews aren’t enough

  • Reviews are public and short, with no device or app version.
  • You can reply publicly but can’t ask a private follow-up.
  • Most unhappy users never write one.
